8 HFF Studies at the HFF Munich The study programme at the University of Television and Film Munich always begins with the winter semester. It comprises eight semesters (normal period of study) and is divided into foundation and main courses. The foundation course is completed with a preliminary examination and the main course with a final examination for a diploma. FOR ALL STUDENTSSTUDY COURSES Film and Television Drama Documentary Film and Television Reportage Production and Media Economics People interested in the study programme decide for the respective course when they apply; it is sometimes possible to change later upon application. Media and Communications Technology These courses are a compulsory component of the HFF Munich study programme. It is not possible to apply separately for the study of these courses.
