107 PHILINE VON SELL Philine von Sell was born in Hamburg in 1963. During the nineteen-eighties she founded a production company for advertisements and worked for several advertising agencies. In 1996, she was appointed to the University of Tele vision and Film in Munich and established the department for advertising and promotional film. In 1998 she went to South Africa, where she began working as a photographer and where she founded the organization LifeTime, a project that supports children orphaned by AIDS. In addition, von Sell initiated an education program for gifted youth in the townships. Since von Sell returned to Germany in 2004, she has been working on film and art projects with her husband, Philipp von Sell. Philine von Sell lives and works in Berlin.
